    I actually get 15mpg, but that's with a 25 year old 350 running at about 6:1 compression, 3.08's and 31s /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Holy crap! Are you positive? what is the rest of your running gear? I get about 6mpg in town and about 9 or 10mpg on the highway @55mph. I have a built 406, 700R4, 35" boggers,4.10's. I could get 15mpg if this was the flinstones. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

... I would have to hook up a speedo cable to try and find out, but I probably don't want to know anyways.

    Re: What\'s your MPG?

    33s, 4" of lift, 3.42 gears, 700R4, and a warm 315.

I get 16-17mpg on the highway and the expressway as long as I can keep it in overdrive. If there is a headwind in either case I can't keep it in overdrive going up hills. I lose about 3mpg running in third gear. IE: last trip home (mostly highway and expressway) I went 470 miles on just a tad over 30 gallons of gas.

In the city I get anywhere between 7 and 12mpg. It all depends on how often the secondaries open and for how long I keep them open. I average between 9.8 and 10.4mpg.

    Re: What\'s your MPG?

Having the 415's torque and light weight helps a lot. I run a K&N Folter, 350 tuned Q-jet, Holley dual plane aluminum manifold, 1.94/1.5 stock pocket ported heads, Comp Xtreme 206/214 RV style cam with 1.5 rockers, small tube Hooker headers w/2.5" collectors and 60 series Flowmasters with turndowns - running 1 ton with 4.56 gearing / th350 with an RV shift kit (accumulator spring removed) and a low stall TCI converter. Taste great- less filling!

Don't you mean gallons per mile?
But seriously though, I got about 12 highway, with SB400,Th350, 3", 33's, and 3.08's. I'm in process of finishing my 700r4 swap, and then we'll see.
