Is there a reason why nobody makes a wheel adapter/spacer that bolts onto an 8 lug wheel pattern and converts it to a 6 lug pattern? Not that I'm looking to do this but just curious ....

I checked into this and found places to make spacers but they wouldnt change the bolt pattern due to safety issues. They didnt specify, but I assume the strength wound be an issue. Most spacers are aluminum(that Ive seen) and holding a large, heavy wheel-tire combo on thats getting abused offroad would be pretty hard on the aluminum spacer. Thats just my opinion.

I don't think the 6 lug pattern can fit in side the 8 lug pattern in any offset, I believe that is the main reason. Most places that make em custom build them.
