What back spacing would be good for a K5 with 1 ton axles on it, 4.5' or 3&5/8?

I've got 3.5 and am very happy with them.

I assume you are asking about 15" rims. 3.5" should be fine. You may need to do a little grinding. And will definately need to do some grinding with 4" or more. I just got 16" rims with 3.5" of backspacing so I don't have to worry much about it at all.

I don't think so, therefore I'm probably not.
