I tried to put a set of 15 x 10 steel wheels from my 72 K-5 onto my 91 K-5 and they hit the tie rod ends? Why? I thought they'd fit but no go. Is it because the 72 has a Dana and the 91 has a GM?

If I am not mistaken, they should both have 3 5/8" back spacing on the wheels................so they should both interchange.

I certainly thought they would interchange but they won't. I know they fit my 72. I've run them on it for years. They won't fit the 91. The wheel weights barely scrub the tie rod ends.
