The wheel base of an '87 is 106.5 in.
I don't know if that is short or long, but I hope it helps.

Aluminum running boards, rock sliders, same thing.

    106.5 is for a K5
Do you mean shortbed pick-up and longbed pick-up?
I don't think that they made a short wheelbase, normal wheelbase, and long wheelbase blazer.

I think it's 117 for the short wheelbase and 131.5 for the long.

mark-I believe the long wheelbase trucks have more rear overhang than a SWB that makes up for the difference

Thanks Steve.....you made any big moves toward your project? I got my frame for the new ride today....sandblasted it down. Planning on running a wheelbase thats in between long and short. The Blazer has been parted out and the body/frame are gone!!its gonna be a long hard road and i hope like hell its going to be worth it. Talk to you later
