What do you all listen to when you hit the trails? I know it has been posted before, but lets here it again.

When I first hit the trail: Metallica's Ride the Lightning goes in the CD deck. After that it is an assortment of hard rock tunes. Last time I went wheelin, I was warming up for the trail, and played the Dueling Banjo's from Deliverance over the CB. For some reason someone called me "twisted"./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

As soon as I hit the trail I turn off the tunes...I prefer to listen to my truck...plus I have a hard time hearing the CB with the stereo goin.

I hear you on that one. When the tough parts come up, the radio goes of so I can consentrate, but I always got to play something sweet when the trail starts so I get some adreniline pumpin, and get into the right mindset.

What ever is in the CD player at the time. Normally rock, but sometimes country or even techno. On easy trails I use to jam. I had two 12s, two 8s, pair or 6x9s, and 4 tweeters. You could here it from a block away, clearly, not just the bass. I use to love having it fopr desert parties /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Typically the old white guy (classic/album rock) stations - the cd skips too much on whoops, or in the case of the new Blazer, the cassette deck doesn't work right.

LOWRIDER is a good song to play. I saw another guy play it to, but in a jeep that was bigger than my Jimmy. He was spring over with 4" lift on top of that on 3/4 ton axles. 2" body lift and 38s. I was laughing to hear him play it.

tunes? pffft... cb static... engine/tranny/tcase noise... and the sound of the terrain being crushed under my tires is the only kinda "tunes" i listen to on-trail. If theres something wrong with my rig, I'd like to know about it as soon as possible... having music blaring isn't gonna help. Its all about the 'wheelin... if you want music in your rig, go cruising.

I don't blare my music, just listen to something to get me in the mood. Like I said above, the tunes go off when I get to the tough stuff.

I listen to the same thing I always listen to when I'm not listening to the radio, AC/DC, usually the "Back in Black" album
