wheelin\' today at frank raines

just walked in the door from a interesting day out and frank raines.....we started out at meeting at am/pm in patterson....me and my frind chris were the first there..then came dave aka goldrush...and then savage...sorry i cant remember his name...i am bad with names...well anyway about 10:00 we headed out of am/pm but we started out with problems right off the bat...savage had started problems (at least it wasent me this time) it was caused by the headers heating up the starter...but we let it cool and took off...once we got there we messed around in the creek....no problems there so we decided to try a little rock crawling....that dident turn out too well...we kept 2 trucks at the start of it and just took mine and goldrushs ruck in just in case something broke then we wouldent be stranded out there with no ride back to the freeway. well goldrush was in the lead and we get about 100 yards into it and then goldrush slips off of a rock right into a rock on the side of the ruck and that rock reworked the side of his truck...it wasent too bad but it dosent look good either...but hey thats a risk we take when we do that type of thing......i was cringing when i got close to any rock..since i have a deciant paint job i dident want any damage.......yea yea i know i shouldent worry about it but its my daily driver and i am building another truck just for wheeling so i wont have to worry about body damge.....but after the 2 hrs of gettin goldrush out we headed home...really dident get too much wheelin in but it was a blast anyway.....i am ready to go again....and next time people that say they are goin to go........SHOW UP NEXT TIME.....only 3 blazers including me and my friend with his bronco was there.. Picts will be coming soon and will be posted on http://www.extreamblazer.com...it will be a few days but i am sure goldrush will let us know when they are.

I just got home myself. It was a blast for me cause it was my first time out. I didn't expect all the rocks!! I'm just glad nobody broke anything... well except for GoldRush... may your fender flare rest in pieces. I'll be sure to get that starter heat shield... breaking down before even hitting the trail is not fun. I took lots of pics and I'll post them tomorrow. It was a small turn out but it was still cool. Thanks to GoldRush for setting it up. I'm there for the next run.

I'd like to thank everyone that showed up! Due to the extremely dry conditions out there the hills were pretty much off limits and the mud hole was dry. I unfortunately slipped off a rock and my right rear quarter no longer has the Chevy body line in it. As someone said while I was assesing damage and trying to figure out how to get away from the rock wall sticking in the right side of my rig, " that's being stuck between a rock and a hard spot". A little massage work with a hammer and I can still put my top back on. Thanks to Chris for keeping me from falling back into the wall. The worst of it is my Auburn is really making alot of noise when I got home. I think the clutches are smoked in it. If anyone here in the Bay Area has a 14 bolt or knows of one for a decent price let me know. Also the website that will have pictures is http://www.extremeblazer.com

I made him a smaller one to use! How come you don't use it?! I get booted almost everytime I open a post with it in there since it's so huge it locks up my browser! [IMG]

Glad you guys had fun. Sorry to hear about the dented truck. If I would have been there would have been me because I always get into stuff like that....next month I am going- that is if it's a date I can make it on!

Hey David, I'll check for the 14 Bolt over at the Pick N Pull. They usually have them for pretty cheap. Can I get more info on that swap meet in Pleasanton. I'd like to check it out. I'll get the pics up from Saturday tonight.

The event in Pleasanton is a 2 day Good Guys swap meet so it should be pretty big. Sorry but I threw away the paper that had the ad in it so that's all I remember. If I get more info then I'll let ya know.
