For what it's worth, I wheeled for a year with my 33's and 2.73 gears /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Never broke an axle shaft or anything. I don't generally hold the stupid pedal to the floor, but I wasn't always easy on it, either! Have fun!

Yesir, you're gunna wanna use Low range. It will stress your tranny a little more.
    I ran 3.08 and 35's for a while.

its kinna dogy but not bad I would deffently do it just for the fact of bigger then stock tires and if you already got 3.73's ready put them on and see how you like the tires then when you get ur 3.73's it will feel like a RACE TRUCK hehe. BTW if you can turn over the tires 33's and 3.08's are fun in the mud you get CRAZY wheel speed

If your saying low range is going to stress the tranny your wrong, it will make it easyer on the engine/trans. If you were to get low gears in the rearend, that will put less stress on the driveshafts and back.

Or I may have misunderstood your reply and your saying you should put it in low range so the 3.08s arent hard on the tranny /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
