Hey guys, here is the Mastercard version (sorry, I know it's a tired method, but it's so condensed [IMG] ) of my troubles on Sat.

Feeling of dread when your truck dies coming out of a mud hole 30 seconds
    Pulling plugs 15 minutes
    Replacing plugs 10 minutes
    Pulling plugs again 15 minutes
    Pulling starter 30 minutes
Cleaning mud outta starter 10 minutes
    Replacing starter 20 minutes
    Replacing plugs 10 minutes
Watching starter/solenoid connection turn red and shoot sparks 1 minute
    Getting new starter 1.5 hours
    Installing new starter 20 minutes
Putting out fire on carb caused by starter fluid 1 minute
Putting out second fire 30 seconds
Hearing your engine come back to life 12 hours after you sucked in water ... Priceless
Knowledge gained about my motor and TBI ... Worth even more

Time it would have taken to prevent this problem by turning around the air intake the way I had planned to before I went out

    About 5 minutes [IMG]

So is it running OK now? Water is pretty unforgiving to a motor...

Yeah it's still running. It starts pretty clean now too. It idles a little rough, but I still have to get some gas additive to kill any resident water and clean out the injectors.

I don't think I did any structural damage to the engine.

Glad everything turned out ok. That looks like a fun mudhole though.

Re: Pic of what I did

It actually wasn't all that deep. I just came crashing into it a little fast.

And I had planned on moving my air intake and extending the breather lines the last week before I went. I just never got around to it. Looks like I shoulda made time!!
