Well the latest update is that Robin will be having some surgery this morning. They are going to put in some plates to stabilize her back.
One of the guy's in the club works just a couple miles from the Hospital she's in and plans to stop by and get an update.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I'm going to see if I can get by after work and see how they are doing. Unfortunatly I work 40 miles from the hospital and with traffic I'm not sure I can get there before visiting hours are over.

Well some good news today. Robin went in for surgery at 8am this morning and came out at about 2pm this afternoon. They put some rod in along her spine where the bad damage was that at this point has caused her to loose all feeling from the waist down. There is not as much damage to the spinal cord as the doctors first thought . The rods have stablized her spine and taken the pressure off the spinal cord. They are more optimistic that she may regain some more feeling but it's still at a wait and see point.
Here is a e-mail from one of our other members who is also related to the Payne's.

It appears as though the damage to Robin's lower back were a little less than they first thought . BAD but not totally crushed as they thought at first. That's the first good news we've had since Tuesday night. There is more hope today than there was yesterday. She still has a long ways to go but at least there's a little more hope of rehabililitation. I just want to personally and on behalf of our entire family thank each and everyone of you for your concern, prayers, contributions (whatever they may be), and most of all the support you have shown to Ralph, Brannon & Brittney. It means so much....THANK YOU.
Tony

We have the Pay Pal rolling but it's a new acct and will take two day's for everything to process with the bank deposit and other associated stuff. The Banks are closed Monday so it will be Tuesday before we can release a link for those that care to donate to help this family out in their time of need.
Robin will need many weeks of Therapy as well as full time care. Ralph is a Auto mechanic by trade and for those that don't know, mechanics get paid by the job. He doesn't work, he doesn't get paid.
The GBR ( www.gbr4wd.com ) is trying to collect enough donations so that Ralph does not have to worry about anything but Robin for the next month or so.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks on behalf of the Georgia Bounty runners, The Payne's and myself.

I sincerely hope that everyone who has the capability donates something. Even small amounts will add up and this will be a great help to the family. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Well one of BigJbears,Robzilla's and my friends from our club was involved in a serious accident yesterday. My club is mostly family's with kids.
We had some pretty rough weather here yesterday and Robin Hydroplaned and ran off the road. The truck went sideways into a tree.
Here is the e-mail I received today.

In reply to:

Robin had fractured the right said of her skull, her top spinal bones
and bottom spinal bones. She's stablized but the sad news is, she may
be paralyzed from the waist down. The accident happened at Thornton
Road where she hydro-planed and hit a tree, bounced back and hit
another tree.

It was heart breaking to see Ralph and the kids last night. They were
devastated when they heard what the doctor said. But they seemed very
strong, let's all pray that they'll pull through this. We are going to
see them again after work and we'll let Ralph know how much everyone
cares for them.

We are not sure what sort of insurance coverage they have and quite honestly they probably don't have enough coverage to cover what this may well cost.
I'm sending what I can and that isn't much.
A trust fund has been set up in her name if you would like to help out.

Or you can make donations though Pay pal at this link.
