That is some serious looking sand. Too bad about the bellhousing. At least you were semi-ready for it.

    Nice Pics.

Can't wait till I can hit the trails again.

That looks a lot like Interceptor's Blazer.

Is the bolt above the dowel missing? A loose tranny will crack.

I didn't notice the missing bolt to the engine. Also looks like the 700R4 convertor cover bolted to a TH350 or TH400? The motor isn't original so there's been some sloppy swapping goin on. Motor and tranny mounts won't prevent a repeat. Just changing to poly mounts will repeat quicker.

that isnt the right cover? i thought that came from my original 700r4 that was with my 305. when i swap the new one in i will make damn sure to get all the bolts in. i must have missed one. still havent got underneath casue of reain. ill have to get the arms from somewhere to. i never even had those.

The cracking is not so much from missing bolt into the engine, but without those struts, the 700R4 WILL break exactly like in the pics. GM started saving weight with the 700R4 (tranny case), but it wasn't strong enough for 4X4.
