Nope. Ill either keep driving the 6.2 and make my own fuel, or buy an old diesel VW, and make my own fuel.

    I think I'll keep mine.

It's paid for, parts are cheap, it's fun to drive. I put to much of myself into it to just let it go. I've gotten rid of other projects in the past and regret selling a few of them. I will just adjust to the prices and budget it in.

I wouldn't mind selling my wife's Honda for a midsize we could take comfortably on long trips.

A Prius is a good choice if gas mileage is what you need. You can always sell it Cam and if you miss it later on buy another one. It's not like they are rare right now and you will probably see more for sale when gas jumps.

I don't anticipate gas hitting 3 bucks a gallon anytime soon, i'll make that decision when the time comes, but i'll probably keep it!

    Absolutely not.

I'll be making WVO and biodiesel to run my 6.2 on, and eventually the rest of my vehicles too. So from me, a big, loud, rousing F*CK YOU! to OPEC and the big oil companies...

I might have to find me a diesel just so I can do that.

My grandfather has a near mint 78 benz 300D I5 Diesel, that might work!

I'll have to buy some wet weather gear and make my motorcycle a permanent daily driver. It gets 50-60mpg :)

it would cost me more to have to buy new ****ty cars every 6 months to a year, then to gas up the burb...

I'll piss and moan about it, but I'll just have too pay. Already sold the K5, but plan on buying another one in the future.

Isn't it funny how gas starts rising around the holidays. It will be spring break in 2 weeks. When millions of people travel. Funny.

When I started smoking a pack of smokes was 93 cents. Now I pay $7.50...

That was a little after I started driving, and back then my first gas purchase was 64 cents a gallon, now it's $2.90/gallon.

Cigs are up 800% since ~1982
Gas is up 453% since about the same time.

I 'could' quit smoking, but it would be logisitcally near impossible to stop buying gas (or diesel)

The thing that ticks me off with gas is that from '82 to '86 gas went up from $0.64/gallon to $1.60/gallon...then the price stayed stable for 15 years or more (except for a short time during Desert Storm). It's not like it has slowly crept up like most other things.

With the supply being pretty stable, and lots of 'stock' and the weather getting warmer soon I predict oil prices will fall to more sane territory soon. Everything I've read indicates oil is priced much higher than it needs to be right now and that it will come down soon.

Fortunately we don't drive that much per month, especially with me working so close to home. I go 2 months or more between fill-ups with my truck and about once a week for our XJ.

My DD gets 6mpg on a good day, but its my work truck, so I will just raise my rates to pay for the fuel increase. My K5 gets 19-20 on the highway, so I might drive it more, but I will not make it my work truck!!!
