I'd guess that you have the mechanical clutch linkage...and it's probably putting a weird load on the fork when you get all twisty. The noise is probably the throw-out bearing complaining, I can't think of what else it could be.

The real cure is to convert to a hydraulic clutch...no more bound up linkage headaches and no more leg cramps in traffic /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

are the tires moving when it does it? my guess would be a bad tranny mount and when you are flexing it binds up the tranny by moving sideways or up /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif put a jack under the tranny and slightly lift up and see if it moves much it should move a small amount but not much

all you need to do is source a 86 and up chevy truck that had the 4 spd in it, grab the bellhousing, and clutch pedal and the lines. You also need the slave and master cyl.
Also you will need to get a clutch that goes with the bellhousing.

Do a search on the main forum, there has been plenty of post on it.
chaz88k5 did one as did krazie87k5

Re: When im all twistid up, ............

Problem found.... after Doing much mudd chiseling and losing some of the Naches forest from underneath, I found a gap beetween the bellhousing and the tranny. got to looking further and found that both of the pass.. side bolts were sheared off in the housing /forums/images/icons/mad.gif so I guess I have something else to add to the list of things to do.

I am however going to look for a T400 but it may be a while b4 i find one affordable, this broken vertabrae thing has put me down for a while.

Was yours doin the same thing? I didnt believe it had to have that due to the fact it NEVER did it before as long as i have owned it. Im just dreading the job of dropping the tranny and removing the busted bolts.

One reason to do it is:
Having a firewall that sits 6" farther back then stock,LOL

2nd reason is to elimanate the bind when flexing.

It moves back by going from a 1977 Blazer body to a 1955 Willy's Wagon. Same Wheelbase, just a different firewall placement.

Looking for a Th400?? what case? need an Auto equiped Column???? Drivelines??
