When was the NP241 introduced ?

    Lets talk about the NP241 when did it first show up ?
    When on Blazers ?
    Does it mount up like a NP208 ?

    89' and it mounts up the same as a 208.
    It has a oil pump rather then oil slingers like a 208 and the chain is a bit bigger on the 241.
    Also has a bit lower gear then a 208.

    Well, that about covers it.. :D 'cept maybe for the fact that, it too, is an aluminum case, like the 208.

    It can also be made fixed Yoke with over the counter parts. :thumb:

    Most go in the $100-$200 range. If you are trying to put one in a 88' or older you can only use a 241 from the 89' year model since they are the only ones with the mechanical speedo where as the 90's have the electric.

    Nah, that just means you convert to '90-91 electric speedo. Who wants a speedometer cable?? :)
