Where are all the K-5\'s in New York??

Im visitiong my grandparents in Auburn New York and there are no K-5's around. They use a tremendus amount of salt around here. It just breaks my heart. The only two I have seen are see-through from the rust. I feel bad for u guys in NY.

Since most of them are Plow Vehicles (its a short wheel-base thing),
they only lasted a couple of years.....
    then the bodies.....fell apart.....

Mechanical stuff just gets BEAT to HELL TOO!!!

That's one of the main things I don't miss about NY. I lived the first 18 years of my life in Upstate NY about a mile from Greek Peak Ski Resort. Ayway, it was a blast as a kid to live in the country there, but there are several things I don't miss about it. On the otherhand, there sure are way toomany people in Colorado!!!!

Yah road salt sucks up here. I just had to replace the floor in my "new" florida body that was swapped on 2 years ago, and I kept it CLEAN both winters! About 3 years ago the towns in my area (Rochester area) changed over to a new type of processed road salt that works much better to keep the roads clean. Unfortunately it's also 10 times more corrosive than regular salt that was used before. So if it took 10 years to eat through your floor before, now it only takes 1. I've seen more than one '00 truck with holes in the floor cause the owners never washed them during the winter. I really wish they used sand here! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
