Where can i find new u bolts and spring plates?

    need to know where i can find a good set of new u-bolts and the top spring plate for a FF 14 bolt?

    MY GM DEALER TOLD ME UPPER PLATES WERE ABOUT $17, DIDN'T ASK HIM ABOUT U - BOLTS THOUGH....

    I ASKED ABOUT THE 14 FF, FOR WHEN I PUT MINE IN, I HAVEN'T CONFIRMED OR LOOKED AT HIS PIC. WILL CHECK FURTHER WHEN I BUY....

    best place to get u bolts is from a local spring shop. they can bend them to whatever size you want and its generally cheaper than buying aftermarket ones that may or may not be the exact size you want.

    if you have any plate steel layin around you could easily make the upper plates. . .and it you want to make them really heavy duty- weld some vertical pieces to the top going parallel to the axle tube (like angle iron) that what a friend of mine did. if i could ever find a good supply or place to buy plate steel i'd do the same.

    www.truckpro.com if there is one close to you. They'll tell you what they need to know and then bend them for you.

    Paid $20.00 for the pair of spring plates at a local junk yard. Just go find a truck with 14 bolt and you are set.

    U-bolts I think were about $11.00 each from NAPA. 3 1/2" spread, by 5/8" thread diameter, by 8 1/2" long.
