I was wondering what model of truck had the heavy axles like the d60 & 14 bolt?,, I', seen several with the 14 & the 44 with eight lug hubs. but around my area theres alot of trucks just sittin out in feilds & lots but if i knew what model to look for it would save a lot of time, I could just spot the badge on the side then ask the land owner for permission to look.

also the d44 with the eight lug hubs is that just a regular dana 44 or is it a stonger axle?

Look for the K 30 or K35 emblems on the side, and offer them $200 for the whole truck.

That would make a smokin' deal.

1/4 mile? Better get a spotting scope then....

That 30 or 35 will stick out. The trained eye see's them in EVERY parking lot, and even DRIVING down the road....

Something you will aquire when you really wants one but haven't found the right deal....

you can score them cheap... im gettin a fully runnin k35 with d60 front...

also camper special doesnt mean d60.. that is what my truck is so it has a 8400gvw and is a 3/4 ton with a d44/14bolt combo.. but the other part of the camper special is the 4.56's that i got stock!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Also look for the big a$$ hub sticking out of the center of the back wheels, that'ss tell you 14bff, If the front has a big a$$ hub then you probably have a D60

This isnt really a sure fire way of spotting one ton rigs but ive noticed that a lot of the rigs with Marker lights on the Front of the Roof of the cab are one tons. so if you see those, Go take a peak you might get lucky.
