I'm running 12.50's and NTB sent me to three different shops, all of which said my blazer was too wide for their machine.

All you need to do is set the toe-in. There is no need for an alignment shop, you just need a tape measure.

Really? I would have thought that 12.5's could have been done anywhere. the Big O tire and the Les Schwab have no problem with my 40's here although most of the time I align it myself with a tape measure. I just give it a toe in around 1/8 inch or so.

Lara, sounds like those alignment shops are giving you the run-around. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

12.5's are small stuff compared to the wider tires. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif 12.5's rank up there close to the stock tire sizes and ANY shop should take/accept them and still get the aligning done properly.

Hey Lara good to see you around again. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Personally I think your getting the run around since your trucks lifted ETC. A lot of shops dont want to bother aligning a lifted 4X4 since they figure youll just knock it out.

I am with the others here.
if you are trying to troubleshoot a problem then a 4 wheel alignment can provide some info, but there is nothing adjustable in a straight axle chev other then toe.

    tools required are
    chalk
    a nail
    a tape measure/straight edge
    a jack
a friend to hold other end of tape
    wrenches to loosen adjustment sleeve
a pipe wrench to turn adjustment sleeve

<font color="blue">Back when I used to work at Sears, I had my truck on the alignment rack there a few times with the same tires you have so it should fit.

Mieneke mufflers doesnt care just as long as the lazer thing can fit on the wheel without falling off. They are the only guys that didnt upcharge me either.

You measure the distance between the front of the tires and the rear of the tires and they should be equal to give you 0 degrees toe. As for straightening the wheel, drive the truck, if the wheel is cocked to the right, you got to bring IN the left tire as well as bringing OUT the right tire EQUAL TURNS until the wheel is straight. Its the opposite if the wheel is cocked left. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
