I am missing the support bars (2 of them) that i believe bolt from the bottom of the tranny to the motor somehow... two bars about 15 to 20 inches long with eye holes on the end... they go from the tranny to the motor... should these be put back on? is it hurting it w/o them on there? It's a 454/th400...

I need to put my flywheel dust cover on too...

Yes you should put the support rods back on they are part of the motor mounts. They strengthen and tie together the motor and trans.
You really ought to put that dust cover back on. Unless you want to risk ruining your front tranny/rear main seals.
