I can't wait to sell it and get "Project lunchbox" into the shop. I'm gonna drop it and paint it flat black and put some Porsche rims on it...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm going back tomorrow to get the 800 cfm q-jet carb I stashed so I will ask . Maybe I should just play frisbee with them and toss them out to the street and pick them up after I leave :haha: . No , I won't do that , I'm just joking .

Cool. I've got a '63 Standard, sunroof, safari windows front and back, and original wood slat rack, and Porche Fuchs'. They're great vehicles!

yeah, the older one's like the style in the pic above are the best - the others are boring in my opinion. i had one for a while too, but it needed a ton of work and i didn't know anything about cars then. just sat next to our house in AZ for a couple years and then i sold it and lost a ton of money. :( wish i still had it. i'd make it into a pretty sweet commuter!

Thanks! :D Well if you ever need any tips or whatever drop me a line. And if you haven't already, buy John Muir's Idiot's Guide To VW's (or something like that). I swear with that book and the necessary tools my grandma could rebuild one! And it's a pretty good read too, an oldschool hippy dude with a real casual writing style.
