I need to find some genrally weatherproof strips of rubber, like from an old innertube, 4" wide, over 6 feet long, and thick enough so you cant wad it up, again, like an innertube.

I've been searching the net for this stuff,a nd I can't come up with anything, except floor mats and weatherstripping

    Thanks

Oh I need some much thicker chunks of rubber too 1/2" x 2"x 6" or something

    Thanks Again

cage isolators? check out conveyor belts. Big wide ones from like quarrys and plants are thick strong rubber that is what I would use if I were trying to isolate my cage(I have a roll of it outside).

Hahaha, no I'm not isolating my cage, that's being built on a subframe that mounts to the stock body mounts.

I'm isolating the gas tank and sealing the top back on when I cut it off

Where did you get a conveyer belt ?

My dad got ours a year or two ago, he worked for a Commercial Construction company, they were redoing the interior of a post office and the belting was some of the stuff used in the mail sorters I guess. He also got some big time I beams and some grating like tread walkway pieces. Amazing what the government just throws away /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif He could have gotten a lot more and kicks himself for not. We used all the stuff he got long ago, except that belting. Heck we redecked our car trailer with that walkway stuff.
