I have a Cobra CB that I got a while ago. I mounted it under the ashtray in the bolt holes there, but took it out because it rattled too much and messed up the new paint on the dash. Any ideas on where to mount it?

I would do that, but I have a '99 Tahoe console and it is too slanted and low to do that.

Get one of those shelf things that go up across where your visors are and mount it in there.

I removed the vent above my heater controls and mounted it "in dash". There is enough room around my Cb that you can still hear it. I'm going to wire in a remote speaker for it soon. I hang my mike off of the rear view mirror.

Mine is mounted in the crack of my ass.Depending on which cheek I flex I can either change channels or turn up the volume. You don't want to know what I have to do to actually talk on the thing!Have a little trouble with my pants though. Hum...,actually...I don't own a C.B.....sorry that was a joke.

You could make a custome braket to mount it vertically in front of your console. Just make the bracket tall enough so it bolts to the floor instead of the console. Or make one that bolts to your console how you want it.

Call my rig an SUV... And I'll tear your lungs out.

I mounted mine vertically on the front of the console, and when you install your linear mount it inside the console on the side works great and hides it well to. Hey Emmet did you get your whip yet?

When the mud gets deep and the hills get steep we'll find out who bought the parts that were cheap.
