Just bought a weiand action plus instake off eBay and am thinking of doing a cam swap at the same time. I currently have a stock 400sbc with the exception of headers. I have heard alot of good about those comp 4x4 extreme cams. Looking in Summit racing catalog and not sure which size to order. I'm looking for good off-idle power and such for 4x4ing. Any pointers on which to get? Thanks!

I bought the smallest 4x4 Extreme cam they had. Great torque off idle. However, if I were to do it again I would get the next size up.

Just order the K kit, that way you get a new timing chain, the correct valvesprings, retainers and lifters. Might as well do it so long as you're in there. The K kit isn't much more than buying the other stuff seperately, and you know it's matched stuff. I did the same thing when I cammed the crate engine in my truck, it runs great, no problems.

Anyone true the Lanati Truck avenger Cam? The SBC one in summit has:
204* intake
216* exhaust
Lift:
.427 intake
.454 exhaust
it comes with lifter for like $160ish
