    First off why switch? Are you getting better gears with the 44? Or are you doing it just to have a 44? The 44 is barley stronger than the 10 bolt so it wouldn't be worth the effort unless you are swapping for gears or something.

    <font color="green"> Why TTT? What do you stil need to know? Find a D44 from 76 or later, whcih gives you a window of a few years since they were phased out starting in late78-79.</font>
