Ok guys I haven't posted in a while, but I have a new project which is done which is a 72 short wheel base chevy. The 350 in it is pretty quick, but you know its stock. So I am gonna get a crate motor, but not sure on which one. I think a 502 would be pretty bad, but a little pricey and I don't need that much torque should I go with the zz454 or one of the 350s. This will not be a daily driver, but I wanna show those Civics a 30 year old truck will smoke them. So help me out please.

    Re: Which Motor

Build your own motor...For the amount of $$$ you spend on the crate motor, they really ought to have things like H-beam rods. I was gonna buy a crate but I am REALLY glad I build the motor the way I wanted it...Go out and get a builder 454 with a good set of heads on it and go to town....

Personally, I love a 383, you could use the block from your 350 and just bore it out
