I have a 1985 w/ the 305 stock, but Im not sure if its got the stock ignition or motor/tranny really. It has an HEI unit on it now.. didn't these come with points? and how can i tell if its been upgraded to a 350, because i seems to have a whole hell of a lot more kick than my dad's old 305.

Blaze On ----- into the $$$ pit! Dang these things can cost ya alot!

Anything after 75 has some kind of HEI, you should have the normal big cap HEI, as for the block, for that year it should be cast into the block right behind the driver side head, it should, if memory serves either say 5.0L or 5.7L sombody correct me if ive been sniffin the tailpipe again.
