OK I have an 86 3/4 ton that I use around the house and the wife drives in the winter. It has a T-400 with a 208. I just got a 89 Suburban for parts. Should a swap out the 241 ( is that what is in a stock 89 Sub 1/2 T?) or just leave the 208 in my truck? Any bennies to the swap or just work for nothing?

I belive the 241 has a little better low range, and you can buy the SYE for the 241 but other than that I dont know of any differences.

slightly better low range (2.7X to a 2.6X) on the 241 along with better oiling system. is it worth it to swap...thats up to you? i wouldn't bother unless the 208 broke.
