I'm looking for something kinda back to basics, that I can get for around 20K.

I'm interested in the Colorado/Canyon WT, but I'm not sure if I can get the 5cyl/5 speed in it with 4x4.

I also have my eyes on an '04 GMC 2500 HD w/6.0 and 5 speed. Here's the link: GMC

But then there's the '02 Dodge 2500......Dodge .....but it's a little too expensive.

I'm open to ANY suggestions. I only have a few requirements: MANUAL EVERYTHING!, biggest offered engine (if possible), 4x4, and around 20K.

    Help me out!

after closer inspection of the pictures, the GMC has an automatic, so it's OUT!

doesn't really matter. i mean, it'd be great to be able to tow things, but it's not a requirement.

My dad loves his 12v CTD. He swears it gets better gas mileage than the 24v. Personally i would get a fullsize diesel cause the gas mileage will be close to the same as a compact/mid-size truck and you can tow a house and it's more comfortable.

I went and looked at/sat in a new Colorado. Didn't fit me at all. There was enough room in the "bucket" seat for me to slide 4" either way (I'm 5'9" 165lbs.), and it seemed extremely cheaply made. Play with the tailgate when you look at one, and push/pull on everything and see what I mean.

Personally, I hate Fords, but the new Rangers are one thing they're doing right IMHO. Those fit me perfectly.

I've crawled all over the Colorado/Canyon. I was considering one before the employee discount, but I couldn't afford it at the time, but then I didn't get one while the sale was on, so I'm still unsure about them. My friend at home has one and twice it has failed to start with him. Every time they come to get it, it will fire right up and they're unable to find anything wrong with it.

They feel ok to me, but I still don't know....

    another truck to look at

What do you guys think of the Nissan Frontier NISMO?

265 hp/284 lb-ft torque, Bilstein shocks, BFG tires, 6 speed manual, and a LOCKING REAR DIFF!

Price like I want it is 24K, but that's MSRP.
