Whip anttena

    well this is a pic of my truck what do you guys think?whip anttena yah or nah,by the way a whip anttena off of the bumper
    just wanted some opions

    I'm putting one on my truck. I would suggest mounting it higher then on the bumper. the reason for whips is for range so you want to mount it a high as possible. The optimum placement would be dead center on top of the truck/roll cage but that's not practical. So I'm mounting mine on the rear quarter.

    yah it does have a mount dead center on the roof already,(dont know if coax is there or not)my main problem is i have to put this think in my garage and taking the anttena on and off isnt that good for it, with a whip i can use a rain gutter clip.
    so i dont know just looking for opions

    I hope you're joking. The last time I saw your truck was the emblems thread. Your truck is too clean and nice for any type of antenna like that.

    I would suggest a magnet mount on top with a good antenna to use when you need it. Just my $0.02.

    yah thats what i was thinking,
    i was also thinking like i said i do have a mount already on the roof so
    i really dont know much about cbs

    I say no way unless you use the existing mount. As mentioned, that truck is too clean to mess it up with a whip mount. Just use the cell phone. :)

    thanks everyone for the opions, to be simple i might go pickup a wilson1000 or a k40 tomarrow
