    Just a rant...:angry1:

    Jeebus H.

I bought a $300 Panasonic Lumix Camera exactly a year ago and the LCD screen just went splat on me  . The screen now reminds me of a black & white lava lamp. The camera still works, but since there's no manual viewfinder and all of my modes and menus are displayed there on the huge, now-worthless LCD screen, the camera is a worthless piece of $hit to me.

And this isn't the first time it's crapped out either. It totally quit working last summer when it was supposed to be under warranty but the repair company claimed that I dropped it (which I didn't :angry1: ) and there would be no warranty. So I paid $80 to have it fixed back then, too.

Now this LCD screen problem. Don't ever buy a Panasonic camera, I've had nothing but problems.

Then there's my frickin' iPod. I won't even go into that. It's explained in another thread somewhere I think.

Buy a Canon PowerShot and never look back. A630 is a good model.

www.beachcamera.com has the best digital camera deals.

How long have you guys had your Canons and how often do you use them? I'm pretty hard on a camera and am looking for my next one to be more durable. I carry my camera everywhere I go.

We've had our Canon for 4 or 5 months. My 13 year old also uses it, it also came with us on the road trip to Pauls place. So far it's been great and pretty user friendly (unlike my sony...)

I have a sony. Not user friendly at all. But I've dropped it a few times and its gotten wet several times and has survived. I had a kodak before that. It got dropped a couple times and was fine. You got the shaft.:doah:

I've had mine for almost three years I think. I use it often, but not everyday. I've dropped it a few times. Still works.

Cool, you have a Canon too. I knew I should have gone with a brand that specializes in cameras :doah:

That's what I'm looking for, a camera that can be dropped, etc. and not crap out on me.

Fumes I have no focking idea where your butter knife is. :haha: :haha: :haha::bow:
