who has 35\'s or 36\'s

i just wanted to know what your gear ratio is with the 35's or 36's. i have 3.73 and 33's but i want to put on 35's or 36's. i have a 4 inch lift but i dont do any hard wheelin. more street use and skiing. i have headers, and K&N and a quadrajet carb and a 350. i have plenty of power with 33's. will 35's be to hard on my tranny? 35's would make the highway rpm's a little lower which would be nice.

On the truck I just sold I was running 4.10's with my 36's. I was very happy with the set up.

I like my trucks BIG, my women HOT, and my Budweiser COLD!

throw in a doubler from ORD! then youll have the best of both worlds, great highway cruising speed and the optional gnarly crawl ratio for wheelin'.

Im running 36 cepeks with 4.56's and love it, although I sometimes wonder if I should go with 4.88's.

I'd would say that IMO 3.73's for a mostly street truck w/ no OD should be fine. I'm currently rebuilding 2 4.10 axles that will be going in w/ a 6" lift and the 35's that are sitting right next to the axles... will be nice to get the job done so I can have garage space again... although the truck won't fit in LOL [IMG]. I would say try the 35's since you already have the 3.73's... can always upgrade to 3/4 4.10's later [IMG]

Re: who has 35\'s or 36\'s

I have 3.73's and 36" Swamper TSL's. I have the SM 465 though so having enough crawl ratio isn't really an issue. It is a bit of a pain now on the street, I'll be swapping in 4.56's as soon as I can afford to. It was fine with my radial 35's but the 36" swampers are almost 2" taller and it is just a little too much tire for the gear. My highway RPM's are about 2300 for 65 MPH though...

I have an SM465, 36" Swampers and 4.10 gears and so far I'm very happy with this combination. It would be better with 4.56s, but its not worth the money and time to change from 4.10 to 4.56.

36's with 3.08's. Runs fine, but gas milage SUCKS and I wouldnt wish this on anybody with a stock motor. Soon to come are 39.5's or 42's with 5.13's.

I know my RPM's sounded pretty high on freeway driving with 3.73's and 33's...should be a lot better now with my new 35's.

Re: who has 35\'s or 36\'s

I've ran 35's with 3.08's and 4.11's, I think that anywhere in that range is good for most driving conditions.
