And no, I don't mean the ghetto speak "phat".. who's truck weighs the most here? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know mine probably isnt the heaviest, but I was pretty surprised when I weighed it. Me (175 lbs), just shy of a 1/2 tank of gas and my toolbox and you have 5150 according to the local truck weigh station.

My only solution is more power. I'd put a sports car on a diet.. but not my truck. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

Just think how heavy it would be if ya put 3/4 ton axles under it and a big bulky steel np205 with a heavy 4 speed and custome steel bumpers, and a big block.....the more you bullet proof it the heavier it gets.

Heh heh, no kidding. I'm planning on swapping in the 3/4 ton axles I have (4.10 gears - /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif) and then eventually I'd like to do a custom rear bumper, and who knows what else.

I definatly won't put it on the Atkins diet. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I did it all about a year ago. Put a corp. 14ff and a 3/4 ton 10 bolt in the front with 4:88 gears. Then in went the 454, and the np205. Topped it off with a roll cage inside and heavy bumpers with a winch. I like it for trail rides, but I don't do so good at the mud bogs. good luck-I found a junk yard that traded me my old 10 bolts for the 14ff, I thought i got a good deal.

Damn I'm scared to weigh my shortbed K10. It's probably going to be 6,000 by the time you factor in the 1 tons, bumpers, winch, etc.

My stock 1983 K30 single cab weighed 7216 with me and 200 lbs of junk in the back - sporting a 10b instead of the d60. I was surprized, now I'm scared to weigh the K5. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Find that hard to believe. I put my true K30 on the COOP scales with a 454/400/205/60/14/4"/35"/1 tank gas and the scale read around 5500 lbs. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Man most of you guys got way to many bearcans in your truck as my K30 Crewcab normally 6" lift 37" ( had to make it as light as possible) Less rego fees (so with no bed and some 33" and little to no gas was only 7160
and a freind of min K20 with 6+3 lift and 38" was only 5670
