My 70 K5 CST has it but I am ripping it out. My 72 parts has(had) it too .. if I decide to put it back it will be a vintage air system or something like that

I had good working a/c before the engine swap. The purest in me hated to take it out along with some other parts that make the ‘72 kind of unique but that’s not the direction my trucks going in right now.

Maybe someday I’ll get it all back in there.

My 71 CST had factory air in it.
I "have" everything but the compressor.
I am in the process of removing it...
I haven't put time into it just if it is in the way it comes out. The condenser came out to put in my tranny cooler. The brackets are coming out to mount a York for OBA and the side vents are comming out for a cage.

The AC in my '71 is installed and works. But I'm not saying it was cheap to keep it working right! I'm old so... need working AC - not becuase its that hot in Colorado where I live but I figure if it has factory air it should work. Now if I can just get the AC belt to stop squealing when I blast the air I'd be completely happy with it.

the pully on my 72 exploded the other week also. its kinda funny - I put a new pully on, and it works now. but the problem is, whenever i turn the fan switch to off, my speakers go out... kinda strange

I was mainly just interested to find out how common it was...

ntaj*eep (from this board) came over the other day and acted like I had gold under my hood with my complete factory AC setup (that doesn't work because of the seized bearing)

So that got me wondering how common it was..
