Just a thought that occurred to me......who is REALLY collecting these older 1st Gen K5's....?

Is it actually the older guys, or is there a group of "younger enthusiasts" who have vehicles older than themselves?

For the record.....I'm 35 and my K5 is 30... I'm not sure if that makes me an "older guy" or one of the "younger ones"!!!!! [IMG]

EDIT: I bet you are all glad that I didn't ask "Who's in better shape?....You or the K5?"!!!!

Mine would be '71 and I'm a '72. I think it's great to see the younger folks interested in these K5's and It's lots of fun to talk to the people who saw these on the showroom floors.

I'm older than my '71 Blazer, but younger than my '49 Willys Wagon (Honest, it's not a J**p). Let's just say I remember the '69s when they were new. That must make me an older enthusiast!

Well, I am one of those young guys that loves "old metal". Nothing like an old classic Chevy! I'm obsessed. I don't care what anyones says. At least I have come to terms with it and can admit it.

I'm 19 years old.... which would make my
1972 K/5... 30 years old
1967 Camaro... 35 years old

Pre- '73 is the way to go! Smog exempt in California!

I'm the same age as my '71. Although I noticed it's production date is September, which would make it a few weeks older than me.

It seems that the young crew (let's say <35) is perhaps smart enough to start a hobby that'll prevent any sort of mid-life crisis.
