Man I cant wait !Good wheelin, sittin around the camp fire, and drinkin a couple cases of beer /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

I was pretty much ready truck wise until today.I got the itch to do some rock crawlin at lunch today so I headed out to the pile o broken up concrete behind the plant.I was gitty so I picked a line over it that I didnt think I could make easily to make it fun.I got a little hung up but I made it.So now I drive back to my parking spot and I gots a bad rubbing/grinding/vibratioin thing going on underneath /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
My first thought is "I crunched my new $400+ rear drive line /forums/images/icons/mad.gif".I didnt .I crunched the exhaust where it goes under the front drive shaft and its now hitting the frond d shaft.I needed to get the exhaust redone anyway /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif There goes my paint money.

Is everyone else gonna have their engine swaps and rebuilds done by next month.I know some of yall got some big to do lists.

I don't know. Found out that my vibration problem is coming from the tranny. Not a good sign.

By the way, you don't know anyone who's got a 700R4 for sale in the dirt cheap range of prices do you?

I hope so. We are pretty sure I blew a head gasket on my truck, haven't done a compression check but it is pretty bad under a load... we got it running really smooth at idle.. Once I put it in drive it misses very badly and sounds like complete crap. I'm hoping to get a motor to build and have it in the truck ready to drive by Hollister! If not we'll be in the only the 4Runner again! But at least it can wheel now!! Last year was when we first got it and hadn't swapped everything over from the truck. This year we plan to have my Beast and the 4Runner with us... but we will be there either way. Are we gonna bbq a pig this year?

Yep, I'm sure. [sad] My father-in-law suggested doing a stall test on it, so I did. Didn't go up too far past 1500 RPM and could feel the vibration and could hear something like a propeller getting ready to break apart. So far, I've got a line on a 700 from the for sale section for real cheap, but needs a rebuild and has to be shipped. I'm hoping this weekend I'll be able to get a loan from a family member and if I do, then I'll just forget about that tranny and get a Raptor.

Damn! Blazerfest is just around the corner, I didn't even realize it. I haven't really done anything to the truck since the last Hollister run. Thanks for reminding me!

Well let's see here. The list of still to do things is:

    1. Put motor back together and install.
    2. Install Holley Pro-Jection that's sitting in the garage.
    3. Fabricate Front bumper and winch mount.
    4. Finish rebuilding RE 8000 winch and install.
    5. Fabricate rear bumper with swing away tire carrier.

That's about all I think can get done in the next month.

Excuse me? Not going? Sorry bro. That's NOT an option. Your presence is a requirement. You have to be there.

    No if's, and's, or but's.

I need to do several things.
My Seats should be re-upholstered in a few weeks.
    I need extended brake lines.
    Body mounts!
That balljoint with some play in it is in the back of my mind.
I guess the drive to Pismo Memorial day weekend will test it unless i fix it before then. /forums/images/icons/blush.gif
