I looked it up for you:
The scientific name for it is "ARMUS PUMPACIOUS". The symtoms include pain, numbness and a porno playing in the background.

Can you elaborate on whats wrong?

I recommend beating the crap out of your other arm you'll notice less pain. I'm serious...

Hey, I just had to do it. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif How exactly is it hurting? Is it just cramped all to hell, or what? When you move your fingers is the pain in your forearm or fingers themselves?

the pain is in the muscle. from what i understand, lactic acid is created from the constant flexing of the arms and is traped in the forearm. it only hurts when i go to move my wrist, fingers or twist my arm. the thing i don't under stand is its my throttle side, i used my clutch much more than my front brake or throttle.

It's probably because you use your throttle arm differently than the clutch arm. With the clutch you are just squeezing, but with the throttle you are pulling your hand upwards, so to speak. Throttling flexes your upper muscle, whereas squeezing flexes the lower one, which is usually stronger. I hope that made sense.

When I raced I'd get it after a hard practice, but never after a race. All I ever did was pop some advil and tuff it out.

Must suck man. Ive had friends that have had small cases, but it always goes away. If you can, try excercising it. That is the only way to get rid of the acid. Kind of like working out. The next morning when you wake up, you are sore. But if you do some excercise and move it, it will help circulate the blood. My first race of the season is coming up. should be fun /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I get arm pump everytime a ride a track, but not when I trail ride /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif I cured mine by working on my stance and relaxing a little bit when I ride. I used to grip on for dear life and always thought I was gonna kill myself. Of course I broke 3 vertabrae in my back about 2 years ago from miss judging a jump. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

So what do yall ride? I raced a '91 CR 125 for a few years then steped up and bought a brand new '97 CR250 and raced that one for a few years before hanging up my helmet. Too many expensive hobbies. After I get another truck I'm hoping I'll have some cash left to get a used bike and get back into riding. Probably wont race, just tool around a little.

Go get a protien and creotine smoothie, eat a powerbar and then hit the gym.

As I have gotten older I have found that if I follow my pre workout regimen before I ride I don't get as whipped up and my recovery time is much shorter.

turns out it was a pulled muscle in the arm, not arm pump.
so still i don't get arm pump, even after 3 hours of straight riding /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif
