Who knows of a good local Machine shop that wont screw me with thier prices? I bought a 4-bolt main from Kenny W. to start a rebuild on and need to get it in, get it tanked, cleaned up, bored 30 over, line honed (maybe) and just generally ready to be rebuilt. I have seen a few places but word of mouth is the best kind of advice for this type of thing.

for what its worth, I pulled an old edition of Hot Rod and got thier ingredients for 400hp/400lb torque... all in all will run just under $2000.00 with block work. I have a family friend that has been an engine builder for the last 30 years (give or take a decade) that will be putting it together for me.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!!

If you are looking in Vancouver, the only guy I really trust is Tom Pinkowsky. He owns Tom's Performance. The # is 256-1722. Less than $200 for basic block work (line bore, cylynder bore, not tanked and prepped to build).
