Christmas night 2001. Hit a deer in my friend's K5 at MIDNIGHT. Hitched a ride home, got my truck & trailer. Towed it home. Got some funny looks. I thought it was hilarious until we got a damage report. Bent tie-rod, stripped drag-link, sheared center pins, bent U-bolts, bent inner fender. Also punctured a hole in the gas tank.

How did you manage a punctured gas tank? Hoof? Antler? Not related to the deer?

The damage is on the opposite side. I'll put up a pic of the U-bolts in a few hours. The punctured gas tank was the result of years of rubbing of the tank and the skidplate. When we hit the deer, it got kicked up by the rear tires and hit the tank somehow. All those years of abrasion finally ended when the deer hit.
