Just want to know if any of you play Go.

If you like chess, but don't know how to play go, I highly recommend it. You'll like Go a lot more than chess ;)

Only similarity is the color of the stones.

A couple years, but I never really got in depth into it until I got some books as a christmas gift. There's more strategy to remember and think about than there is with chess. I'm not one of the naturally gifted Go players, so everything I learn with the game takes me time.

You can play Pente with the same board and stones as Go. The rules and object of Go are entirely different. In Go, you want to surround as much territory as possible, and capture as many opponent's stones as possible. You capture stones by eliminating all the "liberties" of a stone or group of stones. Stones are placed at the intersection of lines on the board, so each line comping out of the stone counts as one liberty.
