There was a post on here awhile back with a 68-72 blazer that was painted blue and he used low gloss or satin paint. I think it was heavy equipment paint but not sure. I rember he painted the truck with a spray gun it wasnt rattle can. If I could get some info on the paint (brand, where to get it) and some pics of the finished paint job I would realy apreicate it. I am thinking about painting my truck with this paint. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

<font color="blue">Thats probably mine. I have been dragging it over crap and widening quad trails with it since the day after I painted it in April, and it holds up very well. It doesnt scratch as easily as regular paint. It's called Rust Sheild and I got it locally. We did my dad's Scrambler plow truck with it too.

You can get the paint supplier to mix whatever color you want then add flattener to it. They can make it anywhere from dead flat{high temp stove paint}, to semi-flat, to gloss. That's what I did when I camoed my Blazer. I was going to use dead flat but the paint rep said it would chaulk out fast and said if I would let him put a small amont of gloss to it, it would last longer- we'll see.

What would it look like if you clearcoated over a Matte finish?
Flat look with a shiny sheild?

It would depend if the clear was gloss or satin! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif If the clearcoat was gloss, it would be-well glossy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
