I was on that trail with you, no pics yet, but I was in the white 87 with the top off and hot pink parts underneath. Also my buddy with the brown longbed diesel was with us.

I finally made it in there, not really with your group but I at least met all the mild guys on the way out.
My truck was the green blur in front of the dust cloud.......

Dude, when you and your dad made that corner at 50 mph, I thought you where going over. Talk about a Blurr! I'm still cleaning the dust out! speaking of which....I think I'll have another beer (hehe). Your poor brother was behind you in a cloud so it's no wonder you couldn't find him. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
Don't you just love halling a$$ on that bottom section /forums/images/icons/grin.gif I let part of the group head out while we where playing then made the "Oh I better catch them" move so it gave me an excuss the crank it. I caught up to Heavymetal just to say "OK, you guys are heading the right way....see ya!" What a blast. By the way, did you even see us on the side as you blew by?

I saw you all sitting there, I even waved! That's a really fun wash, nothing like crawling around then running fast coming out, nice contrast.
It was feeling a bit tippy, I kept turning and turning and still ended up wiping out that bush. Finally dropped a gear to get the rear end loose and solved all the problems.

The whammy is pretty fun now, I remember being very impressed watching someone drive up and back down the first time I saw it, now it doesn't seem like that big a deal, in my truck anyway. I do have a friend that's backed up it before, I haven't tried that yet. Glad we could provide some entertainment! And it's still fun for me, since I remember very well spending about an hour finding the right line to get up and then practicing driving it several times.

Hey Dave, thanks for the pic and leading the trail for us Saturday. We had a blast up there untill Mark ripped off his steering box on lower helldorado on Monday, but as you know super Greg and his welder & air tools saved the day. (Also thanks to the AZ guys for the help). Anyway just had to say thanks. Oh ya, when do you want to do our next trail run?

Re: Who was on the \"Moderate\" Gold Bar trail with us?

Glad you guys made it back OK and had fun. As for the next run, I have this weekend possibily (7 or 8th). After that, I will be doing the Beach run in Florida & the Bahamas. The next available run after that would be in Oct.?!! I was thinking of another run to Moab in Nov. too! Tell Greg, thanks for the help with his welder (glad it wasn't my truck that needed it). I think a few people owe him some beers or dinner for sure!! Glad ALL you guys made it out there /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/cool.gif and don't miss some cool pictures of you in Shawns post w/Toby's pictures. Did you guys take any?

Re: Who was on the \"Moderate\" Gold Bar trail with us?

Dave, I suppose it will have to be in Oct. Gotta clean out the garage this weekend otherwise i'd be up for it. We did take quite a few pic's in Moab but I havent set up a account with webshots or anything yet.

Grim, That bikini top is an old Kayline made for a 70's scout
im not sure if STC is still making those. I wonder if anyone would be interested in a pattern of it? And yes my k5 has changed color again, I think it will remain black for now /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
