I have come up with a design that I like and should have some hoops built by the following weekend. I figure the price will be between $40-60 and they will be a totally bolt up no welding required setup. I will post pics when I get one made. Thanks, Pete.

    ***UPDATE***
AS OF RIGHT NOW I HAVE COME INTO A LITTLE BIT OF AN ISSUE WITH THE SIZE OF THE HOOP AND FIREWALL CLEARANCE WITH TRUCKS WITHOUT A BODY LIFT. I MAY HAVE TO GO WITH A SMALLER DIAMETER TUBE AND SMALL RADIUS. I WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED ON THE HOOPS AND OTHER THINGS I AM DESIGNING. THANKS FOR BEING PATIENT WITH ME. PETE.

I have been real busy with my truck, work, and working for my cousin too. I have some issues to workout with the design; the issue is with trucks with only a 4" lift, if the truck has a 6" lift or 4" & 2" body then the hoops will fit perfectly and are stout as HELL. Also, I need to find time to pickup the necessary tubing I need; maybe next week sometime when I get my other truck on the road, pretty hard to haul tubing on a VW Jetta. If I get a chance I will post a pic of the basic design and maybe the CAD drawing as well. Don't worry I will make them ASAP. Thanks for your patience, Pete.

Would these be made tall and strong enough to hold the King coil shocks?

I would be interested. How will they be routed to avoid steering shaft conflicts?

When I decide to swap the truck to a link setup with coil overs I will try to make a kit up for the King's, but for now these are just for use with extended shocks like the Rancho's and Doestch Tech's.

Re: who would be interested in front shock hoops?

These towers have enough beef and support to exclude the rear support that mounts to the top of the frame like other shock hoops, so steering shaft clearance will not be an issue.

Looks like people will be interested in these so I will put a rush on the development process. Also, I will be making rear shock crossmembers, and tube doors soon too.

Um yea... me too! I would love to get a set of hoops before the end of August, so I can use them from the rest of the trips I have planned this year! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
