That would be hard to chop IMO... The reflections in the water are accurate, the lines to the motors look right, etc.

    Wow!

The hull looks like a Zodiac-type hull.

for the record, it looks like its real.

like 83ZZ502 pointed out, the reflections of the motors are perfect in the water, and anyone good with photoshop will tell you thats damn neer impossible to do.

The motors are also laid out in a logical sence (2 on each end are higher mounted to deal with possible wake issues.

Doesn't make a lot of sense, why not just use I/O's like everyone else?

Well it seems if you have a million pounds sterling to spare you can indeed get a very unusable boat!
How the hell do you trim a RIB with that kind of power. You need wings not a hull!

We see a good amount of larger rigid inflatables in the marina.. Nothing with more than triples on the back tho...

I believe it's because of the type of hull-inflatable/Zodiac-type hull with removable wood deck).

    Lightweight vs. conventional rigid hull.

Yeah, the U.S. Navy SEALs use many variations of that set up.

Cruise on San Diego Bay sometime, by the Naval station, you'll see them zooming in and out of the Amphib. base there. on the other side of the shipyard.

But for what that costs, I have no idea why it is better.

    Very true, very true.

That does bring up the cost-effect question.

Kinda hard when I'm in Jersey... :wink1:

I would question diminishing returns with this setup tho... A boats speed tends to be more a factor of hull design, than power.. I'm betting the speed gain from 4 motors to 8 is minimal..

Very true,,,once a hulls critical speed has been reached, It take a LOT more horse power for each MPH gained....

    BTW,,

if anyone wants to see a video of a 32 ft Skater with twin 950 hp engines running 155 MPH drop me your e-mail addy...video was shot looking out of the back of the boat...the sound and vid is bad ass....

Mostly twin 150hp 733 and 500hp 920 hull Zodiacs. The new 11M boats are CAT powered, very nice. The old 10M "I" boats were a Novamarine hull with twin 5.7L Fiat Iveco SRM30 turbo Diesel each coupled to a 10 impeller jet.
