Who\'s running rear 57\" fords and has a full body?

After going back over a few post most people say that thier ford springs are flat or close to it. Mine aren't...

My body is bolted on as is my gas tank. Mine have a pretty good arch to em yet they did flatten out quite a bit once the body went on.

But from eye to eye then down to the spring perch I have about 6", maybe a hair over that.

my fronts with the engine in but no radiator or brake set or bolt ones(alt, p/s pump, pulleys, fans..etc) they sit at about 5"

front shackles have a 7" eye to eye rear shackle is 6.5" eye to eye.

the springs with shackles gave me about a 7" lift.

    -Jeremy

PS front springs are off a 77 rears are off a 94

Jeremy, I will measure them when I have a third hand to help and post up when I have the measurement. However, we buy 57" springs and see quite a bit of difference so we have to sort and only buy the best ones. We picked up a set today that measures 12" with no load (1992 F150) but thats the best I've seen. The ones on my truck DD truck look like they are about 5-6" but I need some help to be sure.

I'm running the 57's on a suburban. I'm getting close to 7 inches out of them too.

Topoff has em. He has the top off (hence the user name) of his truck though so there is a slight weight difference. However it's not enough to matter I think. Mine are sitting in my garage, so I'm zero help.

With the hardtop on I have about 3" of lift out of my 57's. With the top off it's about 4-4.5". It sat rear high by an inch or so with the top tailgate and doors removed.

I'm going to add a couple of leafs from a pack of XJ springs i have to get it level with the top on and a back seat in.

I was just thinking (as I do too much of that as it is)
if most were close to 4" of arch with weight and I have 6" then my body swap is indeed lighter (half the reason I wanted to do the body swap)

Mine sit almost dead flat...an inch or inch and a half of positive arch is what I'm aiming for when I add a couple of leafs.

Mine sit dead flat in the back too with the top on, 1.5" higher with the top off.

Don't know if you care, but I run the 63" in the rear and they sit about 1"-1.5" positively arched with no top... I will never put a hard top back on, so I have no idea what that does to it! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
