What kind of tv is it. my tv has a button on the tv itself that says auto align or something like that, it might be on the controller too. It automatically aligns the lenses so the colors are crisp. you have to do it about 1 every 1 or 2 years. If its not projection then /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

[/ QUOTE ]I hear that, I'm looking at a 56" JVC or a 57" Toshiba. Both are close too the same price. I'm kinda leaning tords the 57" Toshiba because of Toshiba's anti-glare. Both sets are HDTV widescreen. The Plasma TV's are over 3x as much $$$ !!! Ofcorse I did sign up too win a 50" widescreen TV a local store is giving away for thier grand opening. Doubt I'll win it, but it would be nice.

Buy a 36" fixed tube and a few guns and use the rest of the money to buy a few good books

I can barely stand 27" 8 feet away

hey z3pr I have the toshiba and I am very happy with it. No glare at all and great picture. I had to align the lenses after I moved but after that it was great. So far no probelms... knock on wood.

[/ QUOTE ] The anti-glare of the Toshiba is a big plus. I've been shopping around for widescreen TV's and the Toshiba's seam too have the best picture quality in the under $2,000.00 price range. It's going too be my household Christmas gift this year. I'm looking at 55" to 60" widescreen TV's. Gotta be a widescreen. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I have the 57" toshiba(1 1/2 years now) and its great. Crisp clear picture, best I saw at the time for a projection tv.
I'd buy it in a second again.

by the way, plasma's have problems also with color after a while.

    later,
