I'll tell you why they do. I bought an Alpine deck off Ebay about 2 years ago that I had never got a chance to test out in a car or on a bench. I just left the guy positive feedback and hoped it would work OK. So I finally got around to installing it tonight and everything works great. Its even pulling in distant stations better than my $600 Clarion in my daily driver. The reason this is so cool is because its a 7800 Alpine. For those of you that aren't into Alpine stuff that much, I should tell you that that model is an older than dirt "pull-out" CD deck. Its so old its rated at 16x2, but its possible to wire 4 speakers to it. Sounds great and the CD's don't skip. Wuhoo Alpine!
