My Nebraska title for my 1975 blazer says "K10" also. Don't know why.

Sorry I think it's just the body style 2-door Blazer, scout, bronco, jimmy, ramcharger, trailduster /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Re: Why does CARFAX recognize my \'83 K5 as a K10?

Because that is what it is. It is a 1/2 ton 4WD truck (K10) with a short wheelbase, and a utility body. K5 is, and never has been anything but, a model name (like Silverado or Sierra or Blazer or Suburban). In the body style section, Blazer, Jimmy and Scout are just examples of the type of body style that they are talking about when they say "utility". Think how pissed you would be if it was a Bronco and that came up (which it would).

I think the "K5" is simply a name not a production line designation, they fall into the same 10, 20, 30 catagories like the trucks and Sub's. (yes, I know Blazers are only 1/2 ton)
