When you right click and "save picture as", see if there is a drop down menu under the file destination with more options in it.

Not on mine. Every picture, regardless of what it is, downloads as .bmp, with no other options

Mine does the exact same thing. I know of a fix for it, i had done it once before my computer crashed and i had to start from scratch, and i just never did it a second time. Now that you reminded me ill try and dig it up.

your intnernet cache is full, open internet explorer...goto tool...internet options...in the middle it says temporary internet files...click on delete files, it will take a little bit to delete them then click ok and try to save the image again. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

thats what I did for a while but it doesn't properly compress the image. So I had to open it in paint then resave it as .jpg again and it would properly compress.

iIf your running XP when you right click on an image, one of the options should be to "change format" I had to do that to all my pics before sending them to ck5 /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

thats the problem, I've had this happen with XP and if you select change format, bitmap is the only option.
