Why isn\'t my cruise control working with my new SM-465???

I just swapped in a sm-465 into the blazer and now my cruise control doesn't work. It had a 700-R4 and worked fine. Does it have to do with the plug that went into the 700-R4?? Got a 700 mile road trip tommorow~!!! HELP! - Doug

I believe the cruise works off the signal it receives from the VSS(vehicle speed sensor)and that was in your 700.
You can get an external VSS that attaches to the speedometer cable at the T/C.It will produce the signal needed to make the cruise work.

I know the trucks computer is still getting the speed because i have the ALDL connected to my lap top and can read the speed out on that. You are probably right, oh well screw it!
