I recently replaced the tailpipes on my dual-exhaust with shorter exhaust tips that essentially turn down n' out behind the mufflers. All is good, but I noticed that one tip is all blue and black from heat, while the other is not. Why would one side be hotter than the other? The engine seems to run smooth, but do I have a problem?

do you have one or two mufflers? If its one, it may be that the muffler flows that way, if two, there could be a problem

could be an air adjustment? One side burning richer than the other. Mine did that after I broke my piston. Could be a vacuum leak also causing it to run rich on one side.
